The onboard computer is built in a combination of devices. It has two command keys which have been taken out on models of release till January, 1988 in the central part of the panel of devices (see poses. 33 on fig. the Panel of devices of models of release till January 1988), and on models of release since January, 1988 – on the lever of the switch of a screen wiper (see poses. 28 on fig. the Panel of devices of models of release c January, 1988).

For switching of functions to press the top or bottom part of a key 1 (the onboard computer Command key fig. see models of release since January 1988). Thus the indicator 1 (the Display of the onboard computer fig. see models of release since January 1988) shows the chosen function. By each pressing of a key function following one after another joins. By pressing a key 2 Reset (the onboard computer Command key fig. see models of release since January 1988) more than 2 with there is a zeroing of the data of the chosen function in "memory" of the computer.

Functions of the onboard computer

The fuel expense (the computer with the given function establish on cars without a turbo-supercharging). Shows the fuel expense at present in km l/100. The computer counts the fuel expense through each 30 m of a way. After a car stop last value kept in "memory" is highlighted. A trustworthy information under the expense of fuel the computer starts to show of 40 m after passage by the car of a way. By pressing an accelerator pedal the motionless car with working engine the computer also shows an unreliable information (the raised expense of fuel) in the absence of the data about the passed way.

Pressure of pressurisation of air (the computer with the given function establish on cars with the engine of model МС instead of function of the expense of fuel)

Shows the pressure of pressurisation developed турбокомпрессором, in a range from 0 to 2 bar.

Course stock on the fuel which has remained in a tank

Shows distance in kilometres which the car can take place on the remained fuel at constant style of driving. This size pays off proceeding from the fuel expense for the last of 30 km of a way. At settlement run less than 50 km (a fuel reserve in a tank) the computer is automatically switched to this function about any another. Thus the figure on the display starts to blink. After in a tank there are less than 5-8 l of fuel, instead of size of a stock of a course indicator "L" (an empty tank) lights up. To disconnect warning signal, it is necessary to press key Reset. If in a tank there was a reserve stock of fuel at each inclusion of ignition the warning signal will be automatically highlighted.

Quantity of the spent fuel

Shows spent from the moment of start of the engine quantity of fuel in litres. After ignition deenergizing last value remains in memory of the computer. At repeated inclusion of ignition after the car has passed 30 m, old value is erased from "memory" and calculation of the expense of fuel anew is made. Value can be nulled pressing of key Reset during 2 with.

Movement time

Shows time of a finding of the car in movement from the moment of last zeroing of the data. At the switched off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer and at the further movement this value is summarised with time of movement after a stop. Value can be nulled pressing key Reset during 2 with. After movement during 2 ч (with stops less than 10 mines) the computer is automatically switched to this function about any another. Thus the figure on the display starts to blink (it is recommended to stop off for rest). At a stop less than 10 mines with not switched off ignition the warning signal joins again through 2 ч (stop time is considered as movement time). At a stop more than 10 mines with the switched off ignition the signal joins through 2 ч after a start of motion. To disconnect warning signal, it is necessary to press key Reset.

The average expense of fuel

Shows the average expense of fuel from the moment of last zeroing of the data. At the switched off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer. Value can be nulled pressing key Reset during 2 with. Before the car has passed the first 30 m, the computer shows zero. After 24 ч the computer begins new readout.

Average speed of movement

Shows average speed of movement from the moment of last zeroing of the data. At the switched off ignition value remains in "memory" of the computer and at the further movement this value is considered as average speed of movement after a stop. Value can be nulled pressing key Reset during 2 with.
